Downtown Flushing shantytown dismantled

These photos were taken Friday by the Flushing Phantom. The sidewalks in Downtown Flushing are clear once again.

And work continues on historic St. George's church steeple, destroyed in 2010.

The blockhead local representatives finally woke up and saw something that was wrong. Now what about all of the other
shady goings-on throughout Flushing?

WOW!

Embarrass some officials, the NYPD, FDNY, CB#7 and the Flushing BID with some juicy expose photos (and over 87 comments) on Queens Crap, and these illegal shanties got removed in just a few days.

Thank you, Queens Crap Action Desk!

Our lazy look the other way local government would have done NOTHING about those crappy shacks without your post "Crappy".

Queens Crap...the way to go to get guaranteed quick results!

BRAVO...KUDOS!

I second that. Queens Crap---a force to be reckoned with.

Thank you QC for keeping it real! A beacon of hope and light in the corrupt darkness that is Queens.

Judging by the amount of comments and anger displayed by your initial post, I had a feeling a crackdown was inevitable.

Good job QC. With Downtown Flushing being the lawless cesspool it is, I am sure there will be many more incidents like this to expose.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you--good old, controversial, result getting
--Queens Crap!

Maybe in the future I'll file any complaints I might have with "Crappy" instead of 311.

Is it possible to set up a a real "action desk" like one of your posters had referred to?

List some of the major constituent complaints (in some sort of hotline column), so that our elected officials can take note of them and be spurred on to take some action instead of making excuses.

We all appreciate your efforts and don't want to add to your workload.

Crappy versus Koo.
And, the new heavyweight champ is Queens Crap!

Councilman Peter Koo Koo Ka Choo must have been blushing scarlet when he first noticed the photos of those red shanties posted up on Queens Crap!

In only 3 days they were gone!

Now let's see which phony ass pol or org steps forward to claim credit for this.

We all know that it's really "Crappy" who got it done!

Crappy, you are the best crapper in town! Thanks

Now we only have to look at shit town Main Street.

I wonder if Sky View Parc got their basements flooded.
Instead of a fire sale, Target and Best Buy could hold a water logged sale.

Just in time Crappy...DOB was granting those shanty owners plumbing permits.

"Crappy" for borough president!

Queens Crap sure beats reading the lousy Queens Tribune...no whore ads either.

Yea I stopped reading the queens tribune after they named the best coffee in queens at a D&D and burger king. Seriously thank you . the shanti towns were blocking where my bus turns and now the corner is way better.
