One of city's first landmarks being repaired

From Huffington Post:

One of the city's first landmark buildings is finally getting a new lease on life.

Erasmus Hall Academy, a 225-year-old building in Brooklyn, just secured a $300,000 grant to help restore it to its former glory, according to a report by Lana Bortolot in the Wall Street Journal.

While it's the oldest chartered high school in New York (from 1786!) the building hasn't been used for schooling since the 1930s. In 1966, it was one of the first buildings to be designated as a landmark by the city, and had a short failed run as a museum.
