Bronx council member has good idea

From the NY Post:

A heated argument broke out today between the NYPD and a City Council committee over a bill that would make all traffic agents take photographs of certain parking violations.

Councilman James Vacca, who sponsored the bill, said the city was just concerned that it would lose revenue from "unreasonable, inappropriate, and frivolous tickets."

"I think that's part of the reason they're opposed to it," Vacca, a Bronx Democrat, said. "Traffic tickets were never meant to be a revenue raiser."

Images of violations like parking in bus stops, bicycle lanes, and closer than fifteen feet to a fire hydrant would stop most traffic agents from printing bogus tickets and would put the brakes on those who chronically clog the hearing system with ticket contests, he said.

Just off the top of my head, this doesn't sound like a bad idea, if done correctly.

What I'm saying is said...

Yeah, this actually makes sense.
If you are wrong, pay your ticket but atleast give the car owners a chance.
